What is UrbanFox?
UrbanFox is a self-guided scavenger hunt that takes you around Queenstown solving clues, completing photo challenges and discovering hidden spots.
Are there foxes in New Zealand?
No. New Zealand has no wild foxes thanks to some of the world's strictest biosecurity rules. That's exactly why our fox chose Queenstown - less competition. UrbanFox may be the only fox you'll find in town.
How long does it take?
Most teams complete the hunt in 1-2 hours.
How much does it cost?
UrbanFox costs $12 per team.
Is the price per person?
No. The price is per team, not per person.
How many people can play?
You can play solo, as a couple, with family, or in a group of friends.
Do I need to download an app?
No. UrbanFox works directly on your phone through your web browser or WhatsApp.
Can multiple people play on different phones?
Yes. Team members can take part using multiple devices.
Is UrbanFox suitable for children?
Yes. Families can enjoy UrbanFox together, although younger children may need help solving some clues.
What happens if we get stuck?
Hints are available throughout the hunt to help you keep moving.

Yes. Your team can compare its completion time against other teams.

No. You can start whenever it suits you.
